Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. Check in to your lodge, enjoy lunch as you prepare to proceed for a game drive in the park with numerous animals.
The park is located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink which is attributed to the sight of thousands, and at times millions, of flamingos at the shores of the lake.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.
Take an early breakfast at the lodge and leave for Maasai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy the splendid views of Mount Suswa and Mt. Longonot on route to the reserve. Arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch which will be taken in your base.
Later, enjoy an introductory afternoon game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Early breakfast followed by a full day of game drive within the reserve. Maasai Mara is renowned for its high animal concentration and abundance. Black-maned lions, elephants and buffalo can be seen, luck is essential for spotting leopards and rhinos, which make the other two of the big five.
You will have a break for your picnic lunch in the middle of nowhere with an amazing view of the park. After this you will go back to the hotel for a few hours of relaxation as you enjoy the hotel facilities before embarking for the afternoon game drives.
During your stay, you also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is an exceptional experience.
Return to your lodge/tented camp for dinner and overnight.
After morning at leisure, embark on your concluding game drive in the Mara followed by a relaxed breakfast and onward departure for Nairobi.
Arrive Nairobi by mid-afternoon. Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.
