Overview
Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries en route to Lake Nakuru National Park which is around 3 hours from the city. Upon arrival immediately proceed for a game drive in the park with numerous animals such as buffalos, water bucks, baboons, lions, giraffes and rhinos.
The park is located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink which is attributed to the sight of thousands, and at times millions, of flamingos at the shores of the lake. The park also has a reputation of being an haven for endangered species particularly the Rothschild giraffe, the black and white rhino, lions, waterbucks among others who are residents here.
