This 3-day tour will take you to Samburu National Reserve which is bordered to the south by Ewaso Nyiro River, which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Palm groves and riverine forests, in the midst of arid and semi arid ecosystems, create the magnificent landscape of the Samburu National Reserve. This vast expanse of remote pristine wilderness is inhabited by iconic wildlife and a tranquil ambiance blankets this wildlife haven. Located in the North of Laikipia, one of the less-visited regions in Kenya, this reserve promises an authentic wilderness experience.

On this day, you will be met by our representative in Nairobi who will brief you on your safari, and thereafter you will depart Nairobi for a scenic drive to the North through the scenic Mount Kenya highlands to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for check in and lunch.
Relax then enjoy an afternoon game drive within the reserve. Return to your lodge/tented camp for dinner and overnight
Early breakfast followed by a full day of game drive within the reserve. Samburu is home to the rare northern special five species (Grevy zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa oryx) this craggy, rugged region unfolds a romantic, awe-inspiring safari experience. Captivating Samburu elephant herds saunter over this game rich reserve and big cats prowl through thick acacia forest. The reserve also has numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River.
You will have a break for your picnic lunch in the middle of nowhere with an amazing view of the park. After this you will go back to the hotel for a few hours of relaxation as you enjoy the hotel facilities before embarking for the afternoon game drives.
During your stay, you also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Samburu people to witness their culture which is an exceptional experience.

After morning at leisure, enjoy a morning game drive, check out and departure for Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi late afternoon.
