Overview
This is a trip for any outdoor adventurous person. Ngare Ndare forest is a lush indigenous forest at the northern foothills of Mt. Kenya. Azure pools glisten at the bottom of waterfalls and 200 years old trees stretch into the canopy supporting a rich variety of bird and animal life. The forest is a vital corridor that links the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Northern Kenya to Mount Kenya forest reserve, and one which elephants have been using for centuries. A hiking will take you to blue fresh spring water for a dip.
The main highlights of Ngare Ndare are hiking, animal spotting, waterfalls, canopy walk and swimming in a natural blue pool. If you are an adrenaline junkie and a good swimmer then you can make a crazy dive by the waterfalls.
On our way to Ngare Ndare you will pass the equator line in Nanyuki, have breath taking views of the the Aberdare Ranges and those of Mount Kenya, 2nd highest in Africa.
Note: Overnight accommodation or camping available on request. We can plan for you other landmarks or destinations within the region you would like to go.
